Defne Polat, LL.M.

Partner Attorney Defne Polat graduated from TED Bursa College with an International Baccalaureate diploma and earned her law degree from the Faculty of Law at I.D. Bilkent University in 2021. She then completed her LL.M. in Human Rights Law at Istanbul Bilgi University, graduating Magna Cum Laude (with High Honors).

Since the beginning of her career, Defne has primarily focused on family law and criminal law, while also broadening her expertise in various other legal areas. She has held associate positions at several prestigious law firms and companies. As a Partner Attorney in Polat & Çakıroğlu, Defne offers legal representation in areas including dispute resolution, criminal law, family law, health and pharmaceutical law, tax law, and contract law. She is also enlisted as a sworn translator (English - Turkish) within the 38th Notary Public of Beyoğlu.
